​Hi, I’m Kate Rhodes, and I’m the smoothie enthusiast founder of Drinkess – the best smoothie resource on the internet.

​I’m in the Drinkess kitchen making a spectacular mess + making my favorite smoothies, in roughly equal parts.

But first, I’m sure you’d like to hear my story – I’ll make it brief.

Smoothies Have Changed My Life!

Let me just say this upfront:

Drinking green smoothies turned my life around.

I have been on every diet, lost weight, added some more weight, sank deeper in the junk eating quicksand, got sick, but; I got better.

I lost 51 pounds, all on a green smoothie diet before I became a mom.

But, that weight came back calling even before my first popped.

Having discovered the power of the green smoothies, I shed the baby weight pretty fast!

Three kids later, and 114 pounds lighter. I feel younger, healthier and more energized than I’ve ever been!

Pre-marriage: The Old Kate – Yo-yo diets are draining!

Well, I didn’t grow up as the slimmest girl from the around the block.

I tried every diet I heard my friends talk about, I starved myself, but, you lose half as much as you gain every time! I gave up.

I resigned myself to being the plus size twenty-something-year-old and what do you know – I got someone who loved me for who I was. 

Even though, deep inside, I wished to lose the weight.

But, the donuts, sundaes, and pizza slapped me with endless visits to the doctor.

While trying to recover, I piled about 30 pounds and was getting obese.

Medicine gives you relief as it treats the symptoms. Unless you treat the cause of the illness, you will not heal.

Regular diets

Losing weight and regaining good health is impossible on ordinary diets full of processed foods!

The Health Focus

With this in mind, I researched and read life-changing stories – just about everyone was better and healed through a healthy diet in a glass.

With all the right information gathered, the right mindset, and even a thumbs up from my doctor; I started drinking green smoothies.

How was it at first? Terrible! And, the hunger pangs were the worst! But, I could give up on me.

Besides the tasteless veggies, I had to voluntarily give up sugar and dairy (I had been lactose intolerant all my life).

Fortunately, I picked up a few tricks – fruits make green smoothies delicious. I even added healthy proteins to build protein mass.

I lost 51 lbs after 6 months of enjoying 2 smoothies every day for breakfast and lunch, and 114 lbs after my third baby.

My body and health have transformed – this is now my lifestyle:  I am slimmer, fitter, healthier, and happier than ever.
